Athletics
At Providence our athletic program is driven by a commitment to excellence and character.
As a small school, Providence provides a few high quality athletic opportunities for our students. Whether in cross country, volleyball, or basketball, we push our students to test the limits of their physical abilities, work together toward a shared goal, and demonstrate character in the face of adversity. Almost all of our upper school students participate in at least one sport.
Cross Country
Cross country is available to students ranging from K-12th grades. In the younger years it serves as a great way for our students to stay fit and enjoy one another as they run in age-appropriate races around the city. In the middle and high school years our students compete in a variety of MSHSAA races in and around the St. Louis metro area.
Volleyball
Our girls volleyball team is open to students in the upper school. The Lady Panthers compete in the Metro Athletic Conference (MAC) made up of small private schools from the greater St. Louis area. Additionally, at the end of the season, the ladies travel to Joplin, Missouri for the Missouri Christian Schools Athletic Association State Championship tournament.
Basketball
We offer both boys and girls basketball to students starting in fifth grade and extending through high school. Both teams participate in the Metro Athletic Conference (MAC) made up of small private schools from the greater St. Louis area. Additionally, at the end of the season, the teams travel to Joplin, Missouri for the Missouri Christian Schools Athletic Association State Championship tournament. Both the Panthers and Lady Panthers have had a lengthy history of success both in the conference and down at state.
