How Can One Determine the Value of a Providence Education?

Much more goes in to measuring the value of a private Christian education than strictly the comparison of college placement test scores and student/teacher ratios versus tuition dollars spent. We realize this analysis is the more tangible way to compare and contrast private institutions, and we do understand the importance in offering a comparison of data points between a number of Saint Louis-based private institutions, thus the inclusion of this diagram. However, we also feel that evaluating a Providence education should extend far beyond this illustration.

We at Providence believe that an education should equip students for a life of wisdom, virtue, and eloquence to the glory of God. This means there are many other less tangible, but equally as important measures that help us determine the value of a Providence education. We believe that school should be an extension of the home in the nurturing of a child’s spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical well-being. We believe that the Gospel of grace and God’s creation should be at the center of our curriculum. We believe that the value of a Providence education can be seen in our students’ pursuit of excellence in all things for God’s glory in our community, our state, our nation, and our world. Evaluating whether these beliefs truly begin to manifest themselves within our students can only be witnessed through encounters with our students. Please, schedule a visit and see for yourself the way in which the Lord is helping Providence to equip students for a life of wisdom, virtue, and eloquence.
